Introduction

The Diocese of Raiwind consists of around 52 parishes which are pre-dominantly rural based. It was always the vision of Bishop Azariah that there should be a department which has sole aim of evangelizing the Word through singing. So the Mission & Evangelism Department started its operations in January 2007.

We believe that expressing the compassion of Jesus in practically ways to the marginalized of our society is central to Gospel & integral to the making of disciples, do hereby encourage all our people & churches in rural and urban areas to embark on ministries of practical compassion to the poor, widows, orphans addicted, imprisonment & others marginalized in these group of people as God directs. We believe that taking the fragrance of Jesus through deeds of mercy to persons in need will ease their pain, deepen our discipleship and bring glory to Lord.
